Our Courses

Our 8-hour course combines the Hazardous Materials notification and reporting requirements for personnel who may witness or discover a Hazardous Materials leak, spill, or discharge. It is designed to provide comprehensive training to ensure that you are well-equipped to handle such situations. This course is CSTI certified.

First Responder Awareness (FRA)

Our 16-hour course teaches how to use defensive tactics to contain the release from a safe distance, keep it from spreading, and prevent exposures without trying to stop the release. This course is CSTI certified.

First Responder Operations (FRO)

Our 8-hour course is designed to equip First Responder Operations level staff with the necessary skills to carry out technical decontamination in response to hazardous materials incidents. The course is both classroom and practical exercise elements, with participants engaging in hands-on activities such as donning and doffing Level-B personal protective equipment and performing decontamination exercises. This course is CSTI certified.

Decontamination (FRO-D)

Our 16-hours course is to equip Hazardous Materials Technicians/Specialists with the necessary knowledge and skills to become proficient Safety Officers-Hazardous Materials (ASO-HazMat) within the HazMat Group of the ICS. By the end of the course, participants will be able to identify, inventory, and analyze the hazards and risks involved in an incident and take appropriate action, either through direct intervention or by contacting the responsible supervisor with recommendations for minimizing risk. Additionally, the ASO-HM will assist in the preparation and development of components for event and site-specific plans (ICS 208HM) that involve personnel safety. Lastly, the student will have the ability to plan a safe hazardous materials response that is consistent with the emergency response plan and the organization at a terrorist incident. This course is CSTI Certified.

Assistant Safety Officer
(ASO-Hazmat)

Our 16-hour course equips individuals with the necessary tools to take charge and manage hazardous materials incidents. It emphasizes both legal and practical requirements for safe and competent management. The course includes class activities, case studies, and tabletop exercises, with a focus on hands-on decision-making. Our program meets OSHA requirements and NFPA recommendations for training at the Incident Commander level. This course is CSTI Certified.

Booming

This 4-hour course provides First Responders and others in Response or Support mission roles with an introduction to radiological/nuclear WMD operations., and also provides fundamental knowledge in threat or incident recognition, protective measures, notifications, and incident area management. This course is CTOS certified.

Radiological/Nuclear Awareness

This course is designed for members of a hospital decontamination team, providing them with the necessary skills to safely and effectively decontaminate individuals who have been exposed to hazardous.
